Events include a Walk for the Animals to raise money for the animals WHS/WARL serve, and Pet-a-Palooza with vendor booths, contests for dogs, prizes, music, pet adoptions, kids’ entertainment, and much, much more! There will be delicious selections from food trucks and unlimited beer tastings (for those 21+) at Barktoberfest.  It will be a fun afternoon for dog/animal lovers and an important fundraiser for WHS/WARL.  They are looking for a total of 5 or 6 photographers (Lenore Boulet has committed to photographing).  If you’re interested, please RSVP to Lenore Boulet at lboulet@yahoo.com.

WHS/WARL recently merged to create the first end-to-end animal care organization in a major U.S. city.  The combined organization cares for more than 60,000 animals annually.  The broad range of programs offered include: rescue and adoption, humane law enforcement, low-cost veterinary services, animal care & control, behavior and training, spay-neuter services, humane education, and many others.
