This portrait was taken at a western themed workshop I attended in February. Part of workshop was learning how to create dramatic low-key portraits using a speed light and directional lighting. Of the numerous real life cowboys who sat for the session, this image was my favorite. Sam was a natural at portraying that old-time western feel.
