The following list provides sample calls for entry into photographic competitions from a variety of sources. Some of these have a standing call for entries every month. Note that some of the providers have additional competitions on their websites.

MPA 7th Annual Photography Contest
Opening in September, you have time to get your entries ready. There are 4 categories to choose from this year which are:
- Wildlife
- Architecture
- Sports
- MD After Dark

Montgomery County Fair Photo Contest: “My Best Fair Photo”
- Theme 1 “Children of All Ages”: Entries received noon Sunday, 8/13 through noon on Wednesday, 8/16. Judging will be held the evening of 8/16.
- Theme 2 “Fair Flavors”: Entries received noon Sunday, 8/13 through noon on Wednesday, 8/16. Judging will be held the evening of 8/16.
- Theme 3 “Moovin Around the Fair”: Entries received from noon Wednesday, 8/16 through noon Saturday, 8/19. Judging will be held the evening of 8/19.
- Theme 4 “Fair Montage”: Entries received from noon Wednesday, 8/16 through noon Saturday, 8/19. Judging will be held the evening of 8/19.
Only one entry per person per contest will be accepted. Entries will be received in the Arts, Crafts, Hobbies, and Photography building (Building #3) from 12noon to 8pm daily starting Sunday, August 13. See https://mcagfair.com/contests/
