Steam Punk – by Bruce Schaefer

The year is 2017 and mere anarchy is unleashed upon the land. America finds itself under a cruel dictatorship where misery is everywhere, truth is nowhere to be found. The world is governed by alternative facts.

Into this dystopian landscape lurches our hero, Lindsay LaPlant, by day a help-desk guy who teaches email tips to elderly patients at the state hospital.  But when the sun goes down, Lindsay dons his puce t-shirt, tucks his jeans into his boots, commando-style, and emerges on the scene: Steam-Punk Man!

Armed with only a Minolta SRT 101 loaded with Kodak Tri-X 400 film, he scours the city, searching for clues. Windows, sidewalks, fire escapes, dumpsters—everything and anything is grist for his image-mill.

Then he dodges and burns into the night, leaving only dust trails.  And a faint odor.

Get steamed on Book 1: The Start of the Beginning.  Then get punked on the series. Your jaw will not leave the floor.  Yeppers.
