Christy Bowe has agreed to suspend her very busy schedule to spend an evening with us.  Her credentials will impress us; her presentation will entertain and enrich us.

Christy has been a member of the White House Press Corps since 1995. She has covered two-term presidents Clinton and George W. Bush, and is covering current president Obama. She is also a member of the House and Senate Press Photographers Gallery since 1993, and a contributing photographer of the National Press Club Publications since 1994.

She has had solo exhibitions in the U.S. Capitol, at various government offices and public libraries. She has images on permanent display at The National Press Club.

She gives lectures on photojournalism at Montgomery College, American University, George Mason University and The National Press Club.

Her online portfolio contains photographs of Princess Di, Nancy Pelosi’s swearing in as minority speaker, Pope Francis, Mother Teresa and many more of fascinating people and places.

She has worked on special projects, which include providing photographic documentation of a Fulbright research project targeting people in the remote village of the Katmandu region of Nepal. She has also documented the Wolf Mountain Sanctuary’s on-going efforts to protect the endangered wolf.

She is currently completing a book entitled Eyes That Speak, which documents her work in Washington over the past two decades.
