April 4       Baltimore Museum of Industry Event

Photojournalist Joe Giordano will be offering a free, hands-on photography workshop at Lexington Market on Saturday, April 4 from 12-2. There is no registration required and all levels are welcome. We haven’t set up a Facebook event yet but the info is on our website

Professional Photographers of America (PPA)

The Maryland PPA Board of Directors voted to include Maryland Photography Alliance Clubs as Affiliates, and the clubs are therefore entitled to the affiliate discount rate for most of the PPA programs!  Below is an opportunity for MPA Members:

PSA and Mid-Atlantic Chapter (MAC) News

  • 03/14           MAC Annual Program Meeting (open to all). NIHCC member, Coriolano (Coco) Simon will talk about Still Life photography
  • 04/01             PSA Photo Festival opens registration. Conference is in Colorado Springs and will be Tuesday, September 29-Saturday, October 3, 2020.   • Other activities are planned for MAC, but you must be a PSA member to attend the field trips, competition and presentations. MAC includes PSA camera clubs in Delaware, DC, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia.

CALLING ALL WOMEN ARTISTS!

The City of Gaithersburg and the Washington Women’s Art Caucus invite women artists to submit work for a juried exhibition titled “Why I Vote.” 

September 11, 2020 – November 16, 2020

Activity Center at Bohrer Park

To commemorate the ratification of the 19th amendment to the Constitution, which gave women the right to vote, on August 18, 1920, the City of Gaithersburg, in conjunction with the Washington D.C. Women’s Art Caucus, will host a “WHY I VOTE” exhibit.
