January 2 Speaker Night with Joseph Rossbach – Creative Landscape Photography: Composition, Light and Perspective

We are thrilled to begin the new year with professional photographer and author, Joseph Rossbach.  Joseph is a based out of Maryland, although his assignments and workshops take him all over the country as well as to international destinations.

Joe launched his photography career at the ripe age of 19, working first as a freelance sports and events photographer in the Mid-Atlantic area while simultaneously mastering his passion for landscape and nature photography with every free moment of time that he had.

Just before the birth of his first son, he decided to take a leap of faith and become a full time pro landscape photographer.  Since then, he has co-written two books on landscape photography, The Ultimate Guide to Digital Nature Photography and 50 Amazing Things You Must Do in the Greater Washington DC Area.  Joe has also been published in some of the world’s leading photography magazines, including National Geographic, Outdoor Photographer, Nature’s Best, Backpacker, and Popular Photography. Hailed by Outdoor Photographer magazine, “As one of the emerging talents in nature photography, Rossbach exhibits a heartfelt determination to capture unique compositions and images that go far beyond the familiar.” In 2006, Joe launched his Adventures in Light Photography workshops and has been educating and inspiring thousands of photographers ever since.

In tonight’s presentation, Joe will discuss how he uses composition, use of natural light and unique perspectives to create amazing landscape images that are filled with power, emotion and balance as illustrated by many of his most famous images from Death Valley, Patagonia, Iceland, Rocky Mountains, the Colorado Plateau and beyond.  Please join us for this special visual and educational program.  You can view Joe’s images, workshop offerings and blog on www.josephrossbach.com.
