Overview:

Join the Silver Spring Camera Club for a photo expedition to downtown Frederick for the First Saturday event. First Saturday means all day activities, late-night shopping and dining, live music on the street, and a free trolley to guide your way!  There will be live music and art, food offerings, and a festive atmosphere.  Last time I was there I enjoyed just walking along the Carroll Creek Park, a linear park that reminded me a little of the famous High Line in New York City.

Event details, parking, a map, and other information are on their site at downtownfrederick.org/event-pro/april-first-saturday

Some of the events will be indoors (if the weather is bad).

Food:

There will be plenty of food choices at the event, and if we prefer, we can go to one of the many pleasant restaurants downtown.  See Hootch and Banter as just one example.
