Here is a link to the online Washington Post’s lists of D.C., Maryland, and Virginia photography-related exhibits and museums. I have found that the various photography-related exhibits appear in different parts of the online paper, making a simple search or link unreliable. You can search within:

In its 11th year, the Epson International Pano Awards received nearly 6,000 entries from 96 countries. The contest is simple, with only two categories: Nature/Landscapes and Built Environments.  Focusing solely on the art of panoramic photography, the annual Pano Awards is easily the most consistently spectacular photo contest in the world. This year’s stunning array of highlights offers a deeply creative assortment of images, from sublime wide landscapes to colorful architectural compositions.

#Architecture2020 contest

https://mymodernmet.com/agora-architecture-photo-contest/

Photographers around the world celebrated the glory of manmade architecture by uploading their work to the free AGORA photo app. Over 10,000 photographs were submitted to Agora’s latest photo contest, with photographers asked to share their best shots of unique architecture.

Every day, novices living near the temple pay their homage to the Buddha statue. The photo required a meticulous organization because the sun shines through during a very short moment.
I wanted to enhance the special architecture of the Flat Iron building by using a wide-angle lens and a very low perspective, using the inbuilt distortion when tilting the camera down. Laying flat on the pavement in the busy NYC streets was very stressful, so when I started moving around, I had forgotten to close my camera bag and my 70-200 mm fell on the ground. This picture cost me about 1,200$ for the repair on a lens I didn’t even use!

2020 Aerial Photography Awards

https://mymodernmet.com/?p=333968

its first edition, the Aerial Photography Awards has made its mark by revealing the strength of its winners. Photographers around the world used drones, helicopters, kites, balloons, and airplanes to capture unique views of the planet. And, in the end, the jury selected 106 winning photos across 22 categories.

International Landscape Photograph (internationallandscapephotographer.com)

The International Landscape Photographer of the Year Award 2020 again presents 101 incredible landscape photographs with a truly international flavor, representing photographers and locations from all around the world.

The Award has two main prizes. The Photograph of the Year is awarded to the best single landscape photograph, while to be named International Landscape Photographer of the Year requires a set of four amazing images. The latter is our main prize, acknowledging the additional skill and artistry required to produce a portfolio of landscape photographs.
