Main Topics for Discussion:

A Closer Focus meetings –  A motion was made and carried forward providing the following:

  • The A Closer Focus meetings will be under overall guidance of the Program Chair and no longer a board chair position.  A volunteer Moderator /Coordinator will not need to be a board member;
  • Format will be varied and responsive to member suggestions; e.g., two or three issues/topics (15-20 minutes each) will be addressed each month;
  • A Closer Focus will be moderated by Gene Luttenberg with Dave Powell.

Email Blasts – The process for issuance was discussed; projected blasts should be sent to Catherine for review/approval, she will send to Phil for issuance; and backup is needed if he is out.  In addition, the process will consider the following suggestions:

  • Only 3-4 blasts be sent out each month.
  • Links to website be used to disseminate info; Catherine will send to Webmaster; Michael and Tanya will assist.

Nominations and Selections Committee – We still need members for the Election Committee and for Social Media.

Maryland Photographic Alliance – Michael reviewed the photo contest that MPA is conducting ,and urged everyone to submit entries. Winners will be exhibited in Columbia.

Competition – The Program Chair will send Catherine what needs to be done if she cannot attend a meeting. Catherine will see that the duties are carried out.

Schedule – The board meeting for November has been moved to November 30 due to Thanksgiving; the Board voted to cancel the December board meeting due to Christmas.
